Cellox, LLC celebrated fifty years in business in 2011. It was founded in 1961 by three entrepreneurs who went into business together to create protective cushioning products from expanded polystyrene. The company grew consistently from 1961 to 1996 when one of the three founders acquired the company in its entirety. From 1998 to 2000, major investments in the growth of the company were made with the purchase of four new shape molding presses and a new batch expander.
In 2003, Cellox was acquired by DEP Holdings, a holding company owned and operated by David Pace. David successfully founded and grew Pace Industries, a company engaged in the production of high quality plastic substrates for the marketing at retail industry. Following the acquisition, Cellox developed a unique, patented insulated concrete form product for the construction industry.
From 2003 to 2008, the new insulated concrete form product grew in both popularity and volume. A new shape molding shuttle press was acquired to manufacture expanded polystyrene panels and to increase output and reduce costs. The ICF product grew in popularity nationwide and Cellox grew with it.
Cellox focuses on its core businesses; protective cushioning, office products, visual merchandising, three dimensional in-store promotional display components and business and consumer products.
As a result of Cellox’s industry-leading quality, long experience with polystyrene molding technology and its focus on its customers’ positive experiences, growth at Cellox has continued.
Cellox overarching focus will be to grow its current client relationships, develop new client relationships by meeting their needs and by providing them with exceptional business experiences.
